Portsmouth Tree Decorated to Raise Awareness To Planned Aquind Interconnector Project

Milton Common is a vital green space on the east coast of Portsmouth and is also next to one of only 3 vital and busy roads that lead into the city. Both Milton Common and The Eastern Road are in the crosshairs for the Aquind Interconnector which will plow through the city causing immeasurable damage to the local environment and huge delays to one of the city’s busiest roads: a vital connection for local people, commuters, deliveries in and out, visitors, tourists, football fans, people to/from the hospital and much more.

As part of Let’s Stop Aquind’s current Craftivism a tree on the common and close to the Eastern Road was decorated by local people to positively encourage people to find out more about the issues around Aquind. A huge thank you to everyone who got involved!
