Deadline for Objections Extended to 28th of April by Secretary of State

You would be fair minded to think that the original deadline of just 28 days (the month of March 2023) for allowing for responses to the Aquind Interconnector was not long enough. More so considering the short notice given too as it was announced on the 3rd of March. News today is that due to a request by Hampshire County Council the Secretary of State has extended the deadline that people can send in objections to the 28th of April.

So, this means you now have four more weeks to submit your objection via email to aquind@planninginspectorate.gov.uk! Every submission increases the chances of stopping the interconnector project carving up Portsmouth and Hampshire.

The Let’s Stop Aquind campaign has already submitted lots of different information regarding a number of different issues and this extension now means more time to continue that work. We will be sharing that material here soon.
